Book was acquired from the estate of Birmingham, Alabama pathologist, bibliophile, and genealogist Dr. Albert Eugene Casey (1903-1982) who served as director of laboratories at Birmingham Baptist Hospitals from 1942-1972. The aforementioned O'Casey bookplate heralds Dr. Casey's interest in the family genealogies of his Irish immigrant forebearers.
