Boards and spines are straight. Bindings are tight. Gilt page edges all… the way around are scuffed. Volume 2 is lacking front end sheet. Otherwise volumes are complete with 11 color plates protected by tissue in each volume including frontispieces for a total of 22, plus several tinted plates and numerous engravings throughout text. Pages are toned and lightly foxed but in very good condition. .
