He received several honors for his work, including an Academy Honorary Award, the Kennedy Center Honors, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Steps in Time details Astaire's childhood in Omaha, Nebraska, early show business career in New York City, theatre work in London, and later, his time in movies and the Hollywood scene.
