Condición: Gut. n/a. 30 cm x 21 cm Durchgehend leichte Gebrauchs- und Knickspuren, Einband etwas unfrisch, sonst SEHR GUTES EXEMPLAR.---Mit Originalmarke zu Ehren von August-Friedrich Staats.er am 27.10.1913 geborene Bremer studiert nach der Schule Elektrotechnik und beginnt sein Berufsleben just in einer Zeit, die Ingenieure fasziniert: Eine Neuentwicklung jagt die andere, wie das Hans Dominik, der Journalist, Schriftsteller und TELI-Mitbegründer in seiner Autobiografie so treffend beschreibt.Schon 1934 beschäftigt sich Staats mit der Fernsteuerung von Geräten, erwirbt ein Patent dazu für elektroakustische Anlagen. Kein Wunder also, dass er in Peenemünde landet, abkommandiert zur Forschungsstelle für Raketen- und Fernlenkwaffen in das Entwicklungsteam für die Fernlenk-, Steuerungs- und Messtechnik von Dr. E.-A. Steinhoff. Hier lernt er sie alle kennen, die gerade Technikgeschichte schreiben: Wernher von Braun, Prof. Ernst Stuhlinger, Dr. Walter Dornberger, aber auch Hermann Oberth und viele andere Zeitgrößen. Seitdem fasziniert ihn das Ziel dieser Männer, mit Raketen den Weltraum zu erschließen.Das Kriegsende ein jäher Bruch: Staats landet beim Schweißen, wird Oberingenieur, Direktor der Vereinigten Acetylenwerke Hannover. Doch die Raketen lassen ihn nicht los. Am 21.09.1952 wird er noch unter Besatzungseinschränkungen Mitbegründer und Erster Vorsitzender der Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Raketentechnik" (DAFRA), aus der dann unter seiner Präsidentschaft nach der Deutschen Raketengesellschaft" (DRG) 1963 durch Namenswechsel die Hermann-Oberth-Gesellschaft e.V."
