Wards are colored individually. At the right are the villages of "Indian Orchard P.O." and "Sixteen Acres". At the lower left is a list: "Springfield Town Subscriber's Business Reference". ----CONDITION: Margins toned and soiled. Occasional light foxing. Faint offsetting. Two short tears in margins not extending into neatlines. Original wash color. ----P0042.

Original wash color. 14"h x 25"w. ----GEOGRAPHY: Located across the Connecticut River from Springfield, Massachusetts. Individual houses and owners, roads, property lines, and railroads are shown. A "West Springfield Subscriber's Business Reference" listing dozens of individuals and firms is at the upper right. The area shown in pink is the e site of the town of Agawam. Directly across the river in yellow is Mittineague (now spelled with a g not a q). Mittineague was first settled in 1739. Several industrial sites are located along the Weld River. West Springfield is the larger area between Mittineague and the Connecticut River and lies at the confluence of the Weld River and the Connecticut River. ----CONDITION: Margins toned; small repair at centerfold with no loss. This map measures 12.5 inches by 15.5 inches.
