This was a Frank O'Hara Award winner, and was the first book granted that prestigious title. The award was "specifically intended to encourage the writing of good new experimental poetry and to aid in its publication" (Jacket copy). Ceravolo was 34 at the time of publication, and a civil engineer as well as a poet.

The book is in fine condition, bright, clean, crisp with sharp corners. The jacket is very good with moderate shelf wear, a 1/4 in. tear to rear panel near spine and a couple of minor bends to the rear panel.
