FIRST EDITION, bottom corner of half-title a little nicked and creased, pp. 40, foolscap 8vo, original stapled green wrappers printed in white, the staples a touch rusted and gentle rubbing at spine ends, very good. Inscribed by the author on the half-title: 'For John, a second set of footsteps - slightly stronger, fondly from Charles, 9 June 1992'. The recipient was John Baxter, a fellow cinéaste. Early work, his second book of poetry, by the later biographer of Orson Welles and other film actors and directors.
