Condición: Fair. 1st ed. This volume begins with a defense of Webster who has apparently been vilified because of long ago political events not mentioned specifically. Then begin speeches by Webster on various subjects he made while in the Senate from 1835 to 1840. Museum stamps and name in pencil, heavy edge wear, splits at ft joint and hinge, tanning on endpapers.

1846. Condición: Good. Volume 3 only. His remarks and speeches from 1835-1840. An exceptionally nice copy, lightly rubbed. Former owner armorial bookplate and pencil signature (Clark Eddy Wyman). Previous owner's stamp on title page: "John Titsworth". This third volume was published after Daniel Webster had left the Senate, and is intended as a tribute and apology for his distinguished record and career. Original contemporary brown ribbed cloth, resumably matching volumes 1 & 2. This volume completes the set.
