The study aims to analyze the spatio-temporal dynamics of EABs in the Niger River bed at Bamako level between 2000 and 2018. The study also aims to assess the impact of VAE on river flow from 2000 to 2018. The methodological approach relies essentially on remote sensing through the acquisition of Landsat ETM+ and OLI satellite images via "earthexplorer.usgs.gov" and their processing for cartographic rendering. Based on a multi-date diachronic analysis, the study shows that the dynamics of VAE proliferation on the river are contrasted from one year to the next. Over the period 2000 - 2018, the study shows a decrease in VAE from March to September, but also inter-annual growth, with a spatial expansion rate of 15.50%.
