Long River Press was founded in San Francisco in 2002 with the mission to "publish books promoting a deeper understanding and appreciation of Chinese history, society and culture". This is one of several children's picture books, published in series in 2005 in both English and Chinese editions. This English edition is translated by Yang Yunqin. (I use the Chinese format for names - family name first.) The author, Qin Wenjun, is a well known Chinese children's writer and she has received many awards and nominations for her books. This one is a story about a cloth toy dog with a big smile on its face. A near fine copy with minor bumping of spine ends.
