VG both volumes. no inscriptions or marginalia. lovely clean hardback boards and contents. A large two volume set featuring the works of A.B. Banjo Paterson, Australian author. The first volume covers the time period from 1885-1900, and the second volume 1901-1941. Both volumes are in good shape and feature an illustration of the author on the front cover. very heavy set - will require considerable postage - overseas buyers please ask for a quote before ordering!

First (trade) edition thus. Hardcovers. Small thick quartos. Some light foxing on the edges and page edges a little toned, otherwise fine in fine dustjackets. Profusely illustrated with b/w photographs and sketches and drawings of the period. Arguably the best and most comprehensive edition for the fan of Banjo Paterson, containing in the two volumes (close to 1500 pages altogether) all his poetry, short stories and sketches, novels, memoirs, articles, children's stories and war dispatches. This compillation was reprinted, in progressively cheaper editions, by various publishers after 1983, but this Lansdowne version is the best. These heavy books are not suitable for overseas posting.
