The work is an example of the artist's interest in the concept of Low Tech - Marroquin's LowTechLab project features at the Saatchi Gallery in January 2016 and includes artwork from the period. Marroquin, originally from Colombia, studied at the Maastricht van Eyck Academy in the early 1970s and moved to Amsterdam and was part of the conceptual art scene of the period.
