Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Science Fiction Tales, Invaders, Creatures, and Alien Worlds was edited by Roger Elwood, has an Introduction by Theodore Sturgeon and was illustrated by Rod Ruth. The book was published by Rand McNally & Company in 1973, is a stated First Edition, and appears to have been intended to be used as a textbook by older primary students and/or young adults. It does look to me a nice introduction to the genre. Within you will find short stories written byAnne McCaffrey, Arthur Tofte, Claire Edwin Street, David H. Charney, Raymond F. Jones, Nick Boles, and Terry & Carol Carr. I do not know whether it still holds but on the back cover it assures us that "These stories have not appeared elsewhere." It IS an ex-library copy, has no dust jacket, is in good condition. According to library markings it mat well have been a book in the "Hilton Head Prep." library. The book is 7 1/4" by 10 1/4" and has 125 pages with a Table of Contents leading the reader to seven short stories and it has black-and-white illustrations. It looks to be a nice starter book for a parent or teacher trying to set the hook in a potential sci-fi reader. Thank you!
