Smooth brown calf with gilt and raised compartments on spine with green title and author labels with gilt. Blue marbled edges and endpapers. 2 Volumes. This 5th edition includes for the first time in this work a complete index and 34 engraved illustrations and engraved frontis. A prize copy, includes ink inscription on first endpaper, 1853. Gilt decorative stamp of Upper Canada College on front and back. Some wear on cover, spine and corners. Some mild foxing. Very good, tight copies. Size: 5" x 7". Book.
