L'analyse a été concentrée sur la marche dynamique passive des deux robots bipèdes pour la détermination des cycles limites, l'étude du chaos et des bifurcations locales et globales, ainsi que la détermination des exposants de Lyapunov et la dimension fractale. Il est montré l'existence d'une bifurcation cyclic-fold, de nouvelles allures de marche, des crises intérieures et de frontière, de l'intermittence de Type-I, etc. Le deuxième objectif visé dans cet ouvrage est le contrôle du chaos apparu dans la dynamique des systèmes mécaniques impulsifs via la méthode OGY.
