Hardcover. Condición: New. Estado de la sobrecubierta: New. 1st Edition. What you have in here with some dice, is countless hours of enormous fun, adventuring and creativity for you and 2-5 others at a time. A funny, daring, extraordinary story is created using the story-characters' first-person interactions with aliens, their technology and their worlds (both good and bad). Game players each control a main figure in the story, created with their own goals, dreams and skills. Another player is the editor in chief and co-creator of this epic tale you're all about to begin, the Story Guide (all bow down). If an action made in the game could have consequences, dice are introduced to help decide what they'll be, adding a little luck or lack of into the mix. A larger plot for this epic in the making has already been agreed beforehand by all the players, in as much as what the 'Big-Bad' the player-characters are ultimately up against is, and how it possibly could be brought down (details selected and stored away by the Story Guide for the future games' plot). The Story Guide orchestrates the story creation, game by game, weaving the player-character's own life goals with plot clues, together with help from the players imagination, drawing everyone forwards. Each session starts with a scene before the characters being described, picked up from the previous game often, and further shaped using suggestions made beforehand. Now with the greater story bookended; the beginning a few fresh faced space-farers about to enter their first scene, the end a vast corporation or space bug being toppled(many games from now). Until that glorious or catastrophic ending, the journey there is played out with all the clues and assets being sought and discovered, placed by the Story Guide, ratcheting everyone always closer to that finale. Disclaimer: 90% of the adventure is probably going to be stupid nonsense that makes everyone laugh and the Story Guide bust a gut to bend it towards the intended overarching story line. Enjoy.
