Roman Nikolaevich Redlikh (1911-2005) - writer, Russian thinker, Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Berlin, student of Semyon Frank, Boris Vysheslavtsev and I.A. Ilyin, emigrated to Germany before the war, where over time he became one of the main ideologists and leaders of the anti-Soviet organization NTS (People's Labor Union of Russian Solidarists). He was wanted by the Gestapo. In 1991 he returned to Russia. He published several philosophical works; "The Traitor" is his only attempt at literary prose. The book tells about the trials that the inhabitants of the occupied territories underwent during the war. From Redlich's interview with the magazine "Smena" (1993) about the future of the new Russia: "Everything will certainly develop over time. Time heals. Difficulties will end. Life will definitely become easier and better. Therefore, no one today should despair and become despondent. Also, do not grieve according to lost illusions." First edition of the novel.
