John Francis Cyril Westerman (2 January 1901-1991) was an English author of children's literature. An active contributor to boy's magazines, he is best remembered for the John Wentley sequence of stories, comprising John Wentley Takes Charge (1938), John Wentley Investigates (1939) and John Wentley Wins Through (1940), in which the protagonist's older brother's Inventions, usually involving power sources and advanced aircraft, are more than once stolen by villains. Further tales, often featuring aircraft that demonstrate the advantages of advanced technology, include The Looted Gold (1932) and The Power Projector (1933), which specifically involves the invention of a power source. Terence Tenison Cuneo (1 November 1907 - 3 January 1996) was a prolific English painter noted for his scenes of railways, horses and military actions.
