Photograph of Bob Dylan and Gerard Malanga at the Factory, from Warhol's 50 Fantastics and 50 Personalities. The verso reads "poet personality poets Bobby Dylan and Gerard Malanga in Andy Warhol's '50 Fantastics'" and separately "Warhol," in the same unknown hand. Warhol did two screen tests of Dylan for this project; it was supposedly then that Warhol gave Dylan a painting of Elvis, which he later traded for a couch. The present print was likely struck from the original negative by Malanga, though several decades later. Silver gelatin print. Captioned on the verso in an unknown hand. 9 ½ x 7 in. Matted. Very good.
