The Cape of Good Hope, is a rocky headland on the Atlantic coast of the Cape Peninsula in South Africa. The British occupied the territory from 1806 following the Battle of Blaauwberg, the Dutch ceded the territory in the Anglo-Dutch Treaty of 1814. The Cape was then administered as a Cape Colony and remained as a British colony until it was incorporated into the independent Union of South Africa in 1910. In the original blue paper binding.
