Experiments was the first post-war Russian emigrà literary journal, printed in New York between 1953 and 1958 with a total of nine editions. These three volumes feature works by some of the most famous names in 20th Century Russian literature. Volume I includes two poems by Osip Mandelstam, Diaghilev's Evenings by Aleksey Remizov, Art and Love, a critical piece by Zinaida Gippius and printed here for the first time, Nabokov's poem, Ð' поÑлеРнРРÑаРлРÑÑÑ Ð»Ð ÑÑамР[For the last time, with leaves that flow]. Volume II includes Ð'оÑÐ¿Ð¾Ð¼Ð Ð½Ð°Ð½Ð Ñ [Memories] by Nabokov, comprising Chapters 1-3 of Ð"ÑÑРРе Ð'еÑеРа [Other Shores], the poem Ð' РелоÑÐºÑ [V Shchelochku] by Isaac Babel, and an article by Yuriy Annekov titled, Ð'окÑÑÐ ÐÑенРн [Around Esenin]. Volume III includes a poem by Georgiy Ivanov, ÐРма Ð Ð ÐµÑ ÑРоРм поÑÑРком [Zima idet svoim poriadkom], the poem ÐÑÑРна [The Truth] by Aleksey Remizov, a letter from Marina Tsvetaeva to Anatoly Shteiger and an article titled ÐамеÑкРпеÑеРоРÑРка-II [notes of a translator-II] by Nabokov.
