Condición: Very Good. zx471 Antique postcard from Snaresborough?circa 1905 - it would seem a group of uniformed nurses or teachers - has the Snaresborough?local photographer hallmark in lower right corner as well as locally identified on reverse but brief and I cant read the writing - shows age fading around borders but very good condition.

Condición: Very Good. news103 -? ?This has come from an antique social history postcards where the owner sourced some of the most unusual fashion postcards of the early 1900s - whilst undated it dates around 1902 to 1908 and most of the collection are around 1904 - this plain back postcard shows a senior nurse of the era with a junior nurse - it is with small corner impressions from former album storage - graded vg.

As was common this had been bound without the exterior cover or end-pages - mainly adverts - but contains all the main copy (ie. includes all the pages with decimal numbers, excludes those with Roman numerals). Well illustrated. In the title line are firstly the main Country Homes article followed by the first page portrait, and then by some other articles of interest. Interior in nice clean condition. All pages are clean and complete with just some roughness to the spinal edge and a tiny nibble to a few bottom outer corners. Will be despatched unfolded.

Small chip on the photograph, worn edges on the mount, and tape remnants on the verso thus very good. A portrait photograph of a nurse, "Mamie," taken by the photo studio Wykeham Studios in England. A handwritten caption on the verso reads, "Mamie - about 1898. Ruth's nurse. She was trained by Florence Nightingale and was credited with saving Ruth's life from 17 mo. to 1 year old. At one time was a nurse for the Royal Family.".
