Paperback. Condición: Very Good. A rare, compact Reformed critique of Friedrich Nietzsche by Dutch engineer-philosopher Hendrik van Riessen, written from the Dooyeweerdian Reformational tradition and translated by Dirk Jellema. Van Riessen does not treat Nietzsche as a mere cultural icon or proto-postmodernist. He reads him as a prophet of nihilism who saw the coming crisis of the twentieth century and chose Dionysus?life without God, law, or meaning?over the Crucified One.In fifty-one pages Van Riessen traces Nietzsche?s life and development, unpacks nihilism (active vs. passive), the will to power, the Übermensch, and eternal recurrence, then closes with a sharp confrontation: Christ versus Nietzsche. The result is a pointed Christian engagement that credits Nietzsche?s honesty and diagnostic power while arguing that a self-legislating humanity cannot escape the void it proclaims.Ideal for students of Reformational philosophy, Christian apologetics, and anyone who wants a short, serious alternative to purely secular Nietzsche studies. Originally a chapter in a Dutch volume edited by S.U. Zuidema; this is the scarce English P&R edition.51 pp. Paperback. Grey and magenta covers.Condition: Light shelf wear. Spine lightly sunned. Frequent underlining throughout; text remains clear and fully legible. Binding and text block sound. Full refund if not satisfied.…
