Añadir al carritoTaschenbuch. Condición: Neu. nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - Different classes of users can have access to the Internet network, while new emerging high bandwidth-demanding applications with variable characteristics are running on their hand held devices. Differentiated services (DiffServ) model was standardized to enable the Internet network to reliably and transparently support multiple service classes with end-to-end (e2e) quality-of-service (QoS) guarantee. This QoS model, however, only relies on per-hop forwarding operations for traffic packets, but cannot control or manage network resources required for guaranteeing e2e QoS requirements of service classes in DiffServ. This book introduces an integrated e2e QoS scheme which comprises control and management algorithms interoperating with network status monitoring as well as traffic engineering techniques to control and manage traffic distribution across a DiffServ-enabled network. This scheme is a main block for guaranteeing e2e QoS required for triple-play traffic (i.e video, voice and data) supported in next-generation networks (NGNs). It will also help engineers in designing more transparent communication networks for end-users.
