Oblong octavo (164 × 221 mm), 16 full-page captioned photogravures with blind-embossed borders (printed rectos only). Card covers lightly marked and rubbed; minimal scattered light foxing (a little heavier on the second plate); an excellent copy. Some of the captions are 'Chief Tshingwayo and his Adjutants'; 'A Zulu on Trial - Explaining the Charge'; 'A Council of War'; 'Zulu Warriors'; 'A Young Zulu Brave and his Bride'; 'A War Dance'; and 'Zulu Women at Work'.

Condición: bon. 16 planches de reproductions photographiques légendées. Belles reproductions photographiques sur papier fort représentant des groupes de Zoulous et leur habitat. La deuxième planche comporte l'un des très rares portraits de Tshingwayo (Ntshingwayo kaMahole of the Khoza), commandant en chef zoulou pendant la guerre anglo-zoulou de 1879.
