Th…e "Cavalcade" was first published in 1950 of with this secord revised impression in 1951, which included some corrections and additions. The author/editor, Ixion, was a member of the staff of "The Motor Cycle," Britain's oldest magazine devoted to these machines and dating back to 1903. At the time of writing he was he only professional writer among the survivors of the magazine's earliest days. His book is a collage of the magazine's archives, his own and other's experiences and recollections of motot cycles, events, riding and observing. A fine record of the early days for the contemporary two-wheel enthusiast. Second revised edition of 1951, 239 pages including index, chronology of important dates in motor cycling (1885-1949) at front, 32 pages of photogravure illustratons in four sections, up to four images on many pages.
