Contents includes tables of temperature, wind force and direction, earthquakes, atmospheric pressure and elastic force of vapour, rainfall, diagrams, descriptions of weather by weather station. James Hector was Director of the Golonial Museum and Geological Survey Department of the New Zealand Government.
