This famous bookshop was opened by John Greene, bookseller and librarian. Greene established his lending library in 1843. It subsequently became 'Greene's Bookshop' which operated at this address in Clare Street until May 2007. It moved to premises in Sandyford industrial estate until the summer of 2012 when it ceased trading.
