This lovely edition features a reprint of A Manual of Artistic Anatomy, for the Use of Sculptors, Painters, and Amateurs, published by Henry Renshaw of London in 1852, and; The Hand; Its Mechanism and Vital Endowments as Evincing Design, published by William Pickering of London in 1833. A fine copy, in a very attractive full dark red leather binding, with gilt decoration and raised bands to spine. With marbled endpapers, shiny gilt edges to text block and red satin page marker ribbon.  Text is bright and clean throughout. Soundly bound - looks to be unread. A small scratch on the lower edge of the back cover and a scuff on the long, gilded edge. Bookplate of original owner supplied by the publisher on front endpaper.
