Illustrated with seventeen black and white photographs detailing the creation of an etching, plus tipped-in reproductions of sixteen final etchings (including works by Frank Brangwyn, Edmund Blampied, James McNeill Whistler, Joseph Pennell, Frank Short, Rembrandt, and others), each with an accompanying textual analysis. Some wear to the corner tips and other extremities. A sliver of loss from the upper board paper-covering. Edges and two or three preliminary and concluding leaves lightly spotted. Quite a bright copy. No dust wrapper. The first volume in the extensive 'How To Do It' series, which would eventually include works by Clare Leighton, C. F. Tunnicliffe, Ansel Adams, Dorothea Braby, and Clifford & Rosemary Ellis.
