The spines are chafed at the tips, and the edges of the boards are scuffed. However, the ornate gilt decoration remains vivid on each volume's spine. Owner's stamp on blank front endpapers. Smudge in margin of page 83 in volume 5, but otherwise, text clean and binding tight across the set. Each volume contains a few black and white plates.
