Beginning on page 114 in 1852 there are entries with more general store items with names and amounts up to 1874 on page 213. This Hoyt ledger was now in the office of Attorney Benjamin L. Hoyt of Penn Yan, Yates County. Beginning on page 214 the ledger starts with copies of cases of Supreme Court as well as County Court in Yates County 1874-1909 ending on page 427. There are also many entries of applications to the Department of the Interior for pension claims from the Civil War. The soldier or widow with claims for pensions and the record of its review. ÂBenjamin L. Hoyt died in 1910. Loosely inserted in the rear is a newspaper from Penn Yan that has a nice obituary of him with a photograph. There is also a binders ticket from Bath, New York adhered to the front marbled endpaper. .
