A collection of 9 samples of Indian papers, 8 are bifoliums and one (a Nepalese paper) is tipped onto a leaf with supported letterpress. The examples were bought by the compiler from a paper merchant who provided them as a sample of the work of small scale unites located in forest areas using simple machinery. The papers originate from a wide are of the country from Tamil Nadu in the south to Assam on the border with Tibet, together with the Nepalese sample noted above which. although in close proximity to India, shows paper made by a quite different method. Please note that the advised postage is based on an average book weight of approx. 1 kilo packed, if possible the postage will be reduced to the correct amount and you will be notified by email.
