Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Good. 1st Edition. First edition. Small 8vo. Contemporary leather, scuffed and worn but solid. Volume one only of two. With the terrific heraldic bookplate on the front pastedown of German aristocrat George Augustus von Hammerstein, rendered as Geo. Aug. de Hammerstein. Hammerstein is recorded in a Masonic directory of the time as George Augustus, Baron of Hammerstein, Westphalia. With his (presumably) note of purchase written on the front free endpaper, "at London, 1763, 2 Schill. (shillings) [per?] Vol." Another small remark above the bookplate. The bookplate is a stupendous piece of engraving in a style that a techno enthusiast would appreciate. It is rare to find a contemporary annotation of this kind.
