Dr. Parker's narrative is eminently readable; the maps and drawings provide immediate interpretations of the concepts and explorations he describes in his text. In the interlocking of text and map, he puts together a case for the study of geography as an evolution in knowledge so convincing it may prove revolutionary to any reader who has hitherto thought that geography had to be dull.
