All illustrations of national costumes, in colour, are divided in three horizontal sections in order to make 8192 (I have not counted them all) persons. Many of the faces are rather stereotyped. 17 x 15 cm. Czech-German Walter Trier (1890 Prague - 1951 Canada) is best known for his illustrations of the books by Erich Kastner. As anti-fascist and Jew he and his wife moved to Great Britain, and later to Canada lo be near their daugher. He also published Crazy People and Quite Crazy.
