Scarce. A guide to the Council of Industrial Design's showcase in the year of the Festival of Britain, to display to the public the virtues of good design, principally in the retail environment; Barbara Jones provided panels for the exhibition itself - both her illustrations and Gardner's text are charming. Though the exhibition ran in some form from 1948, the code at the foot of the rear cover would seem to indicate that this booklet was printed in 1951.
