Earle designed the Academy Award-winning short animated film Toot, Whistle, Plunk and Book. His work on the backgrounds of Sleeping Beauty gave that film its mythic, timeless look, a style that carried through to many of his screenprints. 10-1/2 by 13 inches. 360 pages. In addition to the HC copies, there were 400 numbered copies, and an unsigned trade edition. First edition (first printing). A fine copy but for a few nicks to the gilt edges, bound in padded black leatherette covers, with a matching fine slipcase. No jacket, as issued. This is HC copy 18/60 signed by the artist. The original shipping box is present, somewhat tanned but fully intact.
