Set of the four-note linked sheets of the fourth set of the Renminbi (RMB), comprising seven denominations - 10yuan, 5yuan, 2yuan, 1yuan, 5jiao, 2jiao, 1jiao - first issued by The People's Bank of China in 1980; with descriptions and colour illustrations of the major characteristics of each note. Seven cellophane-protected uncut sheets of 4 produced 1987-88, the first time China has produced note-linked sheets of RMB still in circulation. 200,000 collection sets of these issues, Certificate of Authenticity states this No.103287. Stiff card leaves. All edges gilt. Envelope titled as at title-page - nothing within, possibly to contain original prospectus, sale details, or receipt - contained in cellophane sleeve and loosely inserted. Cream paper-covered boards, backstrip and front board titled in maroon. FINE copy in VERY GOOD unclipped dust jacket lightly rubbed at corner tips, a little faded towards fore- & lower edges of front panel, along narrow strip at foot of backstrip panel, and over area extending some 12.5cm from fore-edge of rear panel. Translucent plastic slipcase open at both ends, 4cm-long split along one edge.
