Gruesome account of the 1943 Warsaw ghetto uprising and its liquidation seen and told by the Nazis themselves. One reads with horror the cold and heartless testimonies of German soldiers and officers in documents seized by the Red army during the liberation of Poland. This work is one of the earliest accounts of this human tragedy which lasted from April 19 to May 16, 1943, and resulted to 57,065 Jews being murdered / and or captured, of which approximately 36,000 were deported to extermination camps. The Germans suffered 110 casualties (17 dead, 93 wounded). Wrappers and interior age-toned. Upper margin of back cover slightly chipped. Text in French. Wrappers and interior in overall good to good+ condition.
