Gift inscription, dated 1954, on front free endpaper, endpapers faintly spotted, else internally neat, clean and tight.

Some fading to the spine with a very small areas of rubbing to the hinges. The dust wrapper has been neatly price clipped. This title is the first illustrated edition, published nine years after the first UK edition.

Jacket now in a tidy removable protective wrapper. Original cloth covers with gilt lettering, square binding, pages clean and bright, without inscriptions. Very good book, good minus jacket.
