Soft cover. Condición: Very Good. No Jacket. Photographs by Nat Finkelstein, Christopher Cerf. Alan Rinzler, Gerald Harrison, Akhito Shirakawa and particularly David Paul Ilustrador. 1st Edition. Over-sized (quarto). Bound in photo pictorial stiff card covers. No wear to the covers. The extreme upper fore-edge corner of the front cover appears to be clipped. This feature may be part of the original design, as I can think of no reason why someone would clip the corner. Pages are tight and clean with no marks. No name of the previous owner. No musty odor. No tobacco odor. No water damage. No soiling. No sun fading. The book has a number of extra embellishments, which after almost 60 years have become fugitive. The balloon for instance has deteriorated over time and where it is located the pages are stuck together. The dodecahedron laid in on the title page with some offsetting to the title page. Castle pop-up works. Red accordion is almost in half. Airplane pop-up works. Chelsea girls disc on spring. Sealed pages seals broken. Music record is present but loose from its tab. Folding triple page nose photo fine. Hunt's tomato paste pop-up works. Moisture sensitive tabs missing. We are happy to provide photos and additional information to interested parties.

Hinges are intact with some separation. Considerable overall shelf/timewear, coverwear, cover edge and cornerwear, pageblush and foxing throughout, two pages stuck together with what looks like gum, foxing and blush throughout, included Velvet Underground 45 is loose from binding, old price sticker on front.

Large Soft Cover. Condición: Very Good Minus. First Printing. A true piece of pop art! Some sticker residue & some light creasing on front cover. Moderate wear to spine ends. Spine is a bit separated at one spot, but otherwise is tight. Two pgs are partially adhered together. The following features are in very good condition: pop-up castle; bi-plane; tomato can; fold-up color nose; Chelsea Gir's' disk. The record is detatched, but present; the red accordian doesn't make any sound. The following features appear to be missing: the rubber balloon; the mobile, but the string is present; the inflatable sponge; the postcard; the sheet of moisture sensitive tabs. Overall, this book is in nice condition. NOT a former library copy. Book.

Original black and silver 3D illustrated boards, titles to spine in silver. Book has general wear, worn extremities, rubbed covers, a few of the pages are somewhat age-toned, no marking or bookplates, the page that has the string attached to it has a 1" tear in the bottom edge very light foxing to very few pages, overall in good condition. Inventory of unusual items include the following (from beginning to end): Large Medieval Pop-Up Castle; the Harmonic accordion within folded page which sounds when fold is opened (NOT working); Pop-Up Airplane; Paper Disc labeled "Chelsea Girls, etc." that is attached with a spring; the Illusive Rubber Band that is inside the Duodecahedron attached to black string; the 45 R.P.M. flexi-disc with portrait of Lou Reed on playing surface; the 3 page fold-out illustration of a nose with two multi-colored overlays; the Pop-up of Hunt's Tomato Paste can; and the balloon which has bonded the pages together concealing the balloon between the pages. Softcover edition, missing the original price sticker to upper right corner of cover; contents near complete and in very good condition: it is missing the four Andy Warhol detachable signatures and four blank sections and the balloon (which allows viewer to look at the pages which are usually stuck together by the balloon); but includes all other elements including: the castle pop up; red accordion sound object; airplane pop-up; Chelsea girls circle on spring still attached; dodechahedron with attached string, Lou Reed record still attached, colorful nose foldouts, Hunt's tomato can pop-up. All pages are intact, firmly bound in and untorn. Foreign shipping may be extra.

Hardcover. Condición: Poor. This pop-up is a mess; children must have gone through it. Some of the pop-ups have survived (Hunt's Tomato Paste Can for example, and a bi-plane too). But if the contents are damaged, the front cover isn't; it is a work of art, and in decent condition (the narrow yellow margin has some discolouring, and there is a two millimeter dot). The Brillo effect is stunning. Book.

All components present and intact aside from red balloon, as is common, but the balloon basically dissolved onto the pages sticking them together, so damage is evident. Flexi-disc included.
