The eighteen trios which definitely lay claim to authenticity were published in volumes 1 and 2. The third volume contains eight trios attributed to Hayd…n, although his authorship cannot be proven. The musical text is that of the Haydn Complete Edition and it has been complemented by a new and informative preface by the Haydn scholar Sonja Gerlach._; On considère généralement Haydn comme le compositeur de quelques 60 trios à cordes, mais il faut en fait exclure comme inauthentiques la majeure partie d'entre eux, soit pour des raisons touchant la critique des sources, soit pour des raisons stylistiques. Les 18 trios pouvant être considérés comme authentiques avec certitude ont été publiés dans les volumes 1 et 2 de notre édition Urtext; le troisième rassemble des trios attribués à Haydn, mais dont l'authenticité n'est pas établie de façon absolue. Le texte de l'édition complète des oeuvres de Haydn est complété par une nouvelle préface informative de Sonja Gerlach, musicologue spécialisée de Haydn._; Haydn wird zwar insgesamt als Komponist von rund 60 Streichtrios genannt, die meisten müssen aber aus quellenkritischen und stilistischen Gründen als unecht ausgeschlossen werden. Die 18 mit Sicherheit authentischen Trios wurden in Band 1 und 2 unserer Urtext-Ausgabe vorgelegt, das dritte Heft enthält acht Haydn zugeschriebene, aber nicht zweifelsfrei beglaubigte Trios. Der Notentext der Haydn-Gesamtausgabe wird durch ein neues, informatives Vorwort der Haydn-Expertin Sonja Gerlach ergänzt._.
