The present 2006 manual is a selection of some 143 papers from Dr. Ludwig's 300 professional publications on the subject authored or co authored by him up to year 2006 together with selections from various other HFL products including (i) selected portions of project engineering reports (ii) selections from HFL drawings which are valuable in summarizing happenings or relationships and (iii) HFL comments on pertinent media publications. Thus each of the 17 chapters of the 2006 Manual may be a combination of professional papers portions of selected reports individual drawings and media item comments. Each chapter is preceded by a beginning statement which explains which items are included in the chapter and the significance of each. Regarding those papers which are selected portions of lengthy engineering reports the selected portions sometimes include only some of the total number of figures/tables/annexes included in the full report. This is because these figures/tables/annexes are too lengthy/voluminous to be included and because they are not needed. The material presented is sufficient to give the reader the essential findings of the study. 934 pp.
