This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -This paper presents research results based on the development of programming skills integrated to learning in areas that are more difficult to teach, through the Scratch program. The methodology used was qualitative, and an action research. The population corresponded to fifth grade students, an experimental group and a control group. The representative sample (experimental group) was 20 students of this grade whose ages ranged from 9 to 10 years. After using Scratch with the students in the experimental group, it was found that they improved their performance, with 85% of the students passing the final test of knowledge as opposed to the control group who were only 30% of the students. Students in the control group showed no significant change in performance. The results reveal that the academic performance of students in areas or subjects with greater difficulty, can improve learning, enabling the assimilation of concepts in these areas and the development of skills using the Software Scratch. 104 pp. Englisch.
