Among the variety of manufacturing processes available for discontinuous metal matrix composites, stir casting is generally preferred here due to its flexibility simplicity, and cost advantage. Aluminium-Titanum composites are preferably used in certain industries such as aviation , aircraft and transportation systems .The products which are obtained through stir casting route, they were analysed by different characterization techniques. Morphology of the aluminium titanium flakes composite and titanium flakes particle distribution were investigated by optical microscopy, SEM analysis. Reinforcing particles clearly shown that it distributed non uniformly by observing back scattered image of scanning electron microscope. later , phase presence and its weight percentages can be detected by XRD analysis and EDAX analysis. The variation in the type of mixing the titanium flakes particulates into the aluminium metal matrix has also been dealt.
