Soft cover. Condición: Fine. 54 pages, format: 200 x 260 mm, 36 colour illustrations, 22 black/white illustrations. English/German Texts: Marina Grzinic, Barbara Steiner. Catalogue of an exhibition held at Wiener Secession (Vienna), 5 July - 7 Sept. 2008. 'Memorials and architectures are the starting points for investigation and… research in Isa Rosenberger's work: The artist sees changes in the perception of these buildings as an indication of the transformation of ideologies and prevalent orders. Nowhere else is this social change manifested more clearly than in the former "East". In her video works and series of photographs, Rosenberger sets out to document history/stories beyond the realm of official historiography, lending a voice above all to women in the sense of oral history. When linked to specific people and events, the fall of the Iron Curtain almost twenty years ago literally takes on a face. Isa Rosenberger's new work revolves around Novy Most, the New Bridge, built in Bratislava in 1967-72. A futuristic-looking restaurant that appears to be floating atop the bridge's single pylon has afforded visitors a view of the West ever since.'.
