It also treats of translating culture-loaded expressions in terms of semiotics, and classifies signs reflecting cultural differences into 3 different types: polysemic, synonymic and divergent. Chapter Four is devoted to discussing the strategies of translating some culture-loaded words and expressions, i.e., kinship terms, color terms, idioms and advertising.
