The meeting was sponsored by the International Society for Computationa1 Methods in Engineering and the Department of Civi1 Engineering, Southampton University and organized by the Computationa1 Mechanics Institute of Southampton, England. Section 2 considers geophysica1 fluid dynamics and describes some atmospheric models and their re1ated problems.
