Añadir al carritoOriginalbroschur. Condición: Gut. IX, 345 S. Einband leicht berieben. - The book attempts to show the contributions of the main Independent figures. Jones, Sharpe, Glover, Flugel, Payne, Rickman, Strachey, Brierley, Fairbairn, Winnicott, Balint, Klauber, Khan and Bowlby are now dead, but we will consider also many analysts who are alive today and actively working and contributing. Our aim is not to portray the work of each author in rounded form. Rather, we have selected lines of thought and then shown a writer's contribution to each of these. After an historical introduction there are six chapters on theory. Then, based on these, there are three clinical chapters and one upon the applications of analysis. Lastly, we draw our conclusions. It has been outside the limitations of the book to give critical appraisals of each author, the aim is only to describe and summarize. Critical evaluation and debate must be left to the reader. There have already been several excellent books published on the work of individual Independent authors: Davis and Wallbridge (1981), Clan- cier and Kalmanovitch (1987) and Phillips (1988) on Donald Winnicott and Sutherland (1989) on Ronald Fairbairn. Other books, on object relations theory, have described the work of some Independent theorists. These include Grolnik and Barkin (1978), Greenberg and Mitchell (1983), J. Klein (1987) and Hughes (1989). There is also a valuable collection of papers by Independents (Kohon, 1986a). However, there has not yet been a 'history of ideas' of this stream in psychoanalytic culture. It is this which we have attempted by gathering together its main lines of thought in historical sequence. ISBN 9781853431609 Sprache: Englisch Gewicht in Gramm: 550.
